Coach Chmiel was Skylines Defensive Coordinator last two yeasr and brings 21 years of experience to the Spartans, including time at Lake Washington and Eastside Catholic. He brought a new defensive scheme with him which players have adapted too. He became a high school coach because his own experience as a high school player wasn't very positive and he wanted to make a difference. He learned to play hockey at the age of 3 and still enjoys it. Coach Chmiel is married to his wife Lori and has a son Matias and twin daughters Elliana and Emma. Coach Chmiel works for Microsoft.
