Three Issaquah/Sammamish area athletes set to compete in East-West football game

Three Issaquah/Sammamish area football players will participate in the 2011 East vs. West 4A/3A All-State game, 7 p.m., Friday, July 1 at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

Issaquah will have two participants in the game, which features some of the top 3A and 4A graduated seniors from around the state.

Wide receiver Evan Peterson caught 56 balls for 1,014 yards and nine touchdowns in 2010. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver has yet to make a decision on his college.

The Eagles are also sending 6-foot-5, 250-pound lineman Jay Deines, who committed to Eastern.

Skyline will be represented by Michael Ford, a 5-foot-8, 155-pound defensive back, committed to American International College — a Division II program in Springfield, Mass.
